Louth audiences are once again in for a treat with the first Irish appearance and commissions from Valentyn Silvestrov. Silvestrov writes some of the most beautiful modern music. One of the world’s foremost vocal ensembles The Hilliard Ensemble have confirmed a performance on 1 Oct.09 with their Arkhangelos programme: James MacMillan, Arvo Pärt, Ivan Moody, Alexander Raskatov and Armenian sacred songs. This promises to be a highlight of the year.
